It helps to include the version number shown at the bottom of LittleStems’s Settings screen, and whether you are on iPhone or Android.
Common questions
I paid for Premium but the app doesn’t show it
Open Settings and tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen, making sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with. Purchases are tied to that store account, not to your LittleStems login.
I’m moving to a new phone
Create an account on your old phone first, if you have not already - that is what backs your records up. Sign in on the new phone with the same email and everything, including photos and videos, downloads to it. Without an account, records live only on the original device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they are cancelled there rather than in the app. On iPhone: Settings › your Apple Account › Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store › Menu › Subscriptions. LittleStems Settings has a shortcut that takes you straight there.
Cancelling does not delete anything. Your children’s timelines are kept, and any extra children become view-only rather than disappearing.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes - Settings › Your data › Download my data produces a JSON file of every child, milestone, first, and saying you have recorded, which you can send wherever you like. Photos and videos are not included in that file; they stay on your device and in your backup.
How do I delete my account?
Settings › Delete account. It permanently removes your records, your media, and your login from your device and from our servers, and it cannot be undone. It is separate from cancelling a subscription - cancel that first if you are paying, or you will keep being billed. The delete your account page lists exactly what is removed and what is kept.
Can I adjust pacing for prematurity or disability?
Yes. If your child was born early, you can note how many weeks early and LittleStems uses corrected age for pacing. On the child profile you can also set optional pacing preferences - for example diagnosed developmental delay, a physical or motor disability, vision or hearing impairment, or simply that you want extra flexibility. These never diagnose anything; they only widen the typical ranges we show, so windows feel less like deadlines. Change them any time.
The app says my child is behind. Should I worry?
It should never say that, and it is not designed to. Milestone windows are broad general guidance, and children vary enormously. LittleStems is a keepsake and tracking app, not a screening tool. If something is worrying you, your health visitor or GP is the right person to ask - please do, rather than waiting on anything this app shows.
Does my data get used to train anything?
No. Questions you ask inside the app are answered on your device, and our analytics cannot see your notes, names, or media. If Ask can’t answer a question, we keep the question text — with names removed and nothing linking it to you — for one purpose only: writing the missing answer. Your questions are never used to train third-party AI models and never used for advertising. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected.
Still stuck?
Email hello@littlestems.app. If something has gone wrong with your data, please do not delete the app before getting in touch - it is much easier to help while it is still installed.
