These terms cover your use of the LittleStems app. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not, please stop using the app and delete it.

What LittleStems is

LittleStems is a keepsake and tracking app for recording a child’s milestones, firsts, and memories. The milestone timings it shows are general guidance drawn from published developmental sources, and children vary enormously in when they reach them.

What LittleStems is not

It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a developmental screening instrument, and it does not give medical advice. Nothing in the app - including anything the Ask feature returns - should be treated as a clinical opinion or used to decide whether your child needs assessment or treatment.

If you have any concern about your child’s development, health, or wellbeing, speak to your health visitor, GP, paediatrician, or local equivalent. If you think your child needs urgent help, contact emergency services. Do not delay seeking advice because of anything this app shows you.

Your account

You may use the app without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at hello@littlestems.app if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and be the parent or carer of any child you record.

Your content

The names, dates, notes, photos, videos, and recordings you add remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service - storing your content, and transmitting it between your devices when you have signed in to sync.

You are responsible for having the right to add what you add, including where a photo or recording features someone other than your own child.

Premium, and what happens if you cancel

Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-off lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your own currency before you buy and are charged by Apple or Google, not by us. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and are managed and cancelled through your App Store or Google Play account rather than here.

Cancelling never deletes anything you have recorded. Your children’s timelines are kept. Premium features stop, and if you were following more children than the free tier allows, the additional profiles become view-only rather than disappearing. Resubscribe and they become editable again.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, since they take the payment. We are happy to help you contact them.

Storage limits

Free and Premium accounts have different media storage allowances, shown in the app. We may need to adjust these limits over time; if we reduce an allowance, we will tell you first and will not delete media you have already stored as a result.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to store unlawful material, to attempt to access other people’s data, to interfere with the service, or to circumvent payment. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Availability

The app is designed to keep working offline, using the copy of your data on your device. Sync, purchases, and backup depend on services we do not control and may be interrupted. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we recommend keeping your own copies of anything irreplaceable - the export in Settings makes this straightforward.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copies. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. Material changes will be surfaced in the app rather than left here to be discovered. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any protection you have under the law of your own country of residence.
